Moss agate belongs to the chalcedony family — a translucent quartz threaded with dendritic mineral inclusions of manganese and iron oxide. These formations grow slowly within the stone over geological time, producing the unmistakable green and brown patterns that give moss agate its name and its soul. Each stone is a record of the earth's own patience.
